The PTA, or Parent Teacher Association, is a fundraising community that aims to provide equipment, facilities and experiences in support of School's values and its curriculum, that develop each child's soft skills and make their learning and school life a rich, enjoyable and rewarding experience.
With aims of raising £15,000 each year, the PTA offers a varied calendar of fundraising events and activities that appeal to children of all age groups and their families, and depends on Home volunteer support to plan, organise and run each event.
All parents, carers and grandparents are welcome to join as active members at any time.
Our Annual General Meeting held in September starts the year and sets out priorities for the three terms of the academic calendar.
PTA Meetings & Events
The PTA meets approximately 6 times a year to organise fundraising events and activities, each is listed on the school calendar when scheduled.
The most popular fundraising events are for all the family, with the Summer Fair being the highlight of the year. This, and some of our larger events, require a considerable number of parents to assist the Committee in their set up and smooth running. These parents have volunteered to be on our helper list, and are notified of volunteering opportunities by email circulation
Parental support is vital to the life of this very popular school and for helping children to feel at home and happy in their learning environment.
If you would like to volunteer, please email Natalie on pta@churchtown.org.uk or leave a message on our Facebook page and we'll respond as soon as we're able.
