Churchtown Curriculum Statement
At Churchtown Primary School we are committed to creating an innovative, inspiring learning community. Whilst fulfilling the aims set out by the National Curriculum, our Curriculum is further informed by pupil interest and the context of the local area.
As a school we acknowledge the importance of academic achievements and we want every child to achieve the very best that they are capable of. Alongside this, we place importance on the development of the 'whole child', ensuring we develop life-long learners that have the key skills, knowledge and core values to enable them to thrive in the world around them, both now and as they continue to develop in our rapidly changing world.
We are developing an ambitious, broad and balanced curriculum that cultivates curiosity and enquiry. We believe that there is no barrier to what anyone can achieve. We aim to provide an innovative, inspiring learning environment, where children, teachers and parents all learn alongside each other. To support learning, we believe in helping all children develop the courage, resilience and positive mindset needed to succeed. We have created and developed a safe and supportive environment that is inclusive, caring and where everyone has a sense of belonging to the school, local community and beyond.
