Our nursery is thoughtfully crafted to strike the perfect balance between structured activities and free play. Our doors open to welcome a day that is full of excitement, imagination and learning.

Our beautiful, well resourced environment will provide opportunities for your child to develop to their potential, physically, linguistically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and morally. Through carefully planned activities we support and enhance your child's learning ensuring they make at least good progress over time and become strong, resilient learners.

Nursery Day

Start of day

Start of day

The day begins with a warm welcome to our families at the nursery door. Children are supported and encouraged to independently hang up their coat and put their bags in their trays.

Reading opportunities

Reading opportunities

They are then settled into the snug where they have the opportunity to look at story books, listen to nursery rhymes and have quiet conversations with their nursery friends.

Talking time

Talking time

Our first talk time opportunity of the day is when children respond to the register, have discussions about the daily routine and any special news they have to share.

Group work

Group work

In small key worker groups children will then begin their focused learning for the day. This may include sharing stories, creative activities, early listening skills or maths tasks and investigations.

Physical development

Physical development

PE plays a big part in our nursery day. This could be in structured PE lessons with a trained PE coach delivering dance or gymnastics with a specific focus on the development of those vital gross motor skills, spatial awareness & teamwork.

Snack time

Snack time

Twice a day children will be invited for a snack, either in small groups or as whole class. This is a golden opportunity for all children to engage in conversation, share their news & develop an understanding of the importance of listening to others.

Lunchtime

Lunchtime

At lunchtime children have the choice to bring in a packed lunch or enjoy a delicious home cooked school dinner prepared freshly onsite. We cater for the majority of special dietary requirements.

Independent Thinkers

Independent Thinkers

All children have opportunities in the day to choose areas or activities within the classroom which interest & excite them. This is key learning experience about the importance of caring for our environment & having responsibility for tidying up resources

Early Years Playground

Early Years Playground

Each child has access to bikes, scooters and den making equipment in the Early Years playground. Here they can play freely with their friends and enjoy the space to explore and create their own games.

Storytime

Storytime

Throughout the day the children will celebrate story, re-enact favourite tales and share special books with the adults in the classroom. We actively encourage storytelling and the use of imagination in the classroom.

Lunchtime

Children staying for the full day will have their lunch from 11.30am - 12.30pm, with the option of having either a packed lunch or school dinner. School dinners cost £2.35 per day.

If you require your child to stay for lunch sessions during the week the cost is £4.00 if you are providing a packed lunch or £6.15 if your child is to have a school dinner.

We understand that children may wish to swap between hot dinners and packed lunches but request that children have either packed lunch or hot dinner for a full week.

Parents are welcome to provide a healthy packed lunch if required. To encourage healthy eating we suggest that children do not bring any chocolate based products or sweets in their lunchbox

Please be aware that due to allergies we ask that you refrain from including nut based products for example peanut butter in lunch boxes.

If your child brings a packed lunch please ensure their lunch box and drinks container are clearly named.

Children eat their lunch in the dinner hall in the Early Years building. This is in a small group with a teaching assistant or lunchtime supervisor who will serve them lunch. Children are encouraged to interact with others and engage in discussion with their peers. Following lunch they will return to the Nursery.
