Churchtown Primary School is delighted to announce that a talented Year 4 pupil has won a closely contested local Christmas card design competition. The competition, organised by the local Member of Parliament, Damien Moore, saw six schools from Southport participate, generating an impressive 600 entries.
The winning design, crafted by pupil Zuzanna, caught the eye of the competition judge, Damien Moore MP, who not only commended the young artist's creativity but also presented her with the prestigious award during a special assembly held at Churchtown Primary School. The assembly, also attended by Sam Bushell, Managing Director of Brown Turner Ross, the competition sponsor, provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate Zuzanna's artistic achievement.
The Christmas card competition invited primary schools across Southport to showcase their students' artistic talents. Zuzanna's design, handpicked by Damien Moore MP, will be featured on 1000 printed cards. These cards, a symbol of the community's creative spirit, will be distributed to leading community members in Southport, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors, and even the Royal Family.
Jinnie Payne, the Headteacher of Churchtown Primary School, expressed her joy at Zuzanna's win, stating: "We are immensely proud of Zuzanna and her remarkable artistic talent. Her success in this competition is a testament to the creativity of our students at Churchtown Primary School.
"We are filled with excitement at the thought of the fortunate individuals who will receive one of her cards, including members of the Royal Family.”
