Our Key Stage 1 Reading Champions (Years 1-3) are a group that aims to promote a love of reading across the school. We meet once a week to discuss and share our favourite books, explore where books come from and lead others in taking responsibility for our library resources in school.
Reading Champions from Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 meet together regularly to discuss books and reading. They discuss ways in which they can promote reading within their classes and across the school. They are involved in the promotion and running of book fairs twice a year - making posters and helping to run the fair by helping parents and children to find particular books. They enjoy suggesting new books for classroom libraries and organising the distribution of these books across the school.
